Great Co-Workers Make All The Difference

Great Co-Workers Make All The Difference

Dec 15, 2011

By Wendy Sanacore

I’m going to get sappy here for just a few moments. Last night was the TxMQ holiday party, and if you have had a chance to see any of the pictures, I think it’s pretty apparent that we had a nice time.

But more than that, I can say that I really sat down and had dinner last night with people that I call my friends. I have worked in many environments thus far in my career, some of them more open than other, but I can truly say, the best positions I have ever held have been with people who have become great friends.

It isn’t just about connecting on a personal level either. It’s about knowing that whether you’re at work or outside of work, these people have your back. Even

I have been to a Halloween party, a jewelery party,  a happy hour, holiday parties, cookouts and fund raising events with my coworkers and I have looked forward to hanging out with them outside of work every time. I’ve gotten hugs on bad days and surprise hot chocolates for no reason. Going to work in the morning is so much better when you walk in and know that you’re going to see someone’s smiling face.

On any given day, I can sit in my office and hear laughter from the rest of the office and know that everyone is getting along and having a nice day.

It’s a testament to the environment that Chuck has established here at TxMQ. We have an open, honest atmosphere that is truly a pleasure to work in. So I’m off my soap box, but here’s a final thought. When you’re looking for a new position and trying to find something that will fit for you, make sure you take the company culture into consideration. It can make all the difference in the world.
