About Us

TxMQ traces its roots back to the early 1990s. Founded originally in Toronto, Canada by a retiring IBM executive, the company partnered with IBM Canada to service and support large, mainframe customers. At IBM's urging, a few years later, the company expanded into the US, incorporating in Michigan, and supporting large IBM customers in Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, and Indiana. By the late 1990s, the company had moved further outwards and had added customers in most of the Midwestern United States. In recent years, the company has begun to partner with other technology providers in addition to IBM, and has extended its services to include a growing array of support for all lines of systems and platform, far beyond the original mandate to support the mainframe.

While remaining strongly committed to mainframe product technologies like DB2, CICS, IMS, z/OS, WebSphere MQ, Tivoli, BMC, CA, and the like, more and more of our focus is on distributed systems and technologies, including SQL Server, Oracle, WebLogic, EMC Infrastructure, HP-UX, Solaris, .net, etc.

Our services include the provision of contract personnel to help our clients with short term, or project needs, as well as full project management services for any technology needs. In addition, we offer full contingency search, and retained search services for the IT industry, as well as our newest industry segment offering, financial services.

The company was reorganized recently to make the Canadian company a subsidiary to the US based firm, further reflecting the concentration of focus, skills, and customers.
